Drag & drop PDF as an attachment to an invoice PDF does not work

I would like to attach the builders' audit invoices to the invoices for documentation and traceability. But if I now drag the downloaded PDF from the desktop/desk onto the blue field, the PDF simply opens in the browser and is not added.
