We have been using the synchronization of the Projo absence calendar into our iCal for 2 months and are generally satisfied with it. However, absences defined by the working time model (e.g. part-time days/days off under employment contract) are currently not transferred to iCal.
As a result, there is no complete picture of absences in the calendar. The proposed workaround using manually created “informative absence types” (e.g. “part-time”) unfortunately leads to double entries that are prone to errors (e.g. when swapping days) and undermine the “single point of truth” approach.
Our wish:
We would like the absences stored in the working time model to be automatically integrated into the iCal-Sync as an absence type — without the need for additional manual entries.
Benefit:
  • Complete information transfer in iCal
  • Less manual maintenance
  • Avoiding inconsistencies/errors through double entry
  • “Single point of truth” is maintained
