In my opinion, it makes sense for absences to be shown in the absence overview (in the team area) in the status “requested” - preferably with the question mark, as shown in the office area.

In the case of absence “sick” (e.g. with EAU/AU), the absence should only be finally recorded with the target working time - therefore approved - when an EAU/AU exists. As long as the absence should remain in the “requested” status.
