Calculation of surcharges based on defined subtotals
Daniel Hillnhagen
We are currently testing the new HOAI calculator with a sample offer and (in our opinion...) noticed the following error.
If surcharges such as additional costs (here 4%) or a general planner surcharge (here 8.5%) are calculated, in our opinion, they would have to be calculated from the same sum, in this case from the subtotal (201,374.90€) plus the 20% conversion surcharge (40,274.98€), i.e. always of 241,649.88€.
In fact, the previous surcharges are always added up before recalculating, i.e. here the 4% additional costs are not calculated from 241,649.88€, but plus the general planner surcharge of 20,540.24€, i.e. a total of 262,190.60€.
In our opinion and experience, this is “incorrect” or not “rule of technology” - to put it casually.
But maybe your experiences there look different, it would be really interesting.
Perhaps it is easy to implement so that you can select this individually (but this should be pointed out with a help text). It took us a while to identify the problem.

The amount of the respective discount is also dependent on the contract. In most cases, it fits us as it is now set up. However, we also have projects with various increases and reductions, where 2 reductions relate to a sum. This is consistent with Daniel's problem.
Perhaps it can be implemented in such a way that both options are available.

Gudrun Preuschoff: Currently, the workaround (including you) is that in such a case, a surcharge with the name “NK +4%, GP +8.5%” is created, which is then entered at 12.5%. This then mathematically results in the math desired by Daniel Hillnhagen.
In any case, this is a solution that is already working now.
By which I don't want to deny that an option to set which subtotal a discount/surcharge should be based on would be a useful function.
