Especially with long contracts, you always have to scroll down to the bottom to unlock the entire contract structure.

A new positioning to the top right would be helpful here. Also to see immediately whether the contract is blocked or not.

What I would still find very handy if you didn't have to press this button again after every change for the next change. Would it be possible to only exit the change mode when leaving the contract structure?

That is a very good suggestion, thanks for the initiative!
But I would like to suggest that the button is at the top AND bottom. Because when I'm at the very bottom of the display structure, you don't want to have to scroll all the way up.
And the same actually applies to the button to be able to edit the contract. I find it at least as important that this is also offered above.

Ultimately, you will always have to scroll through longer contracts as long as the essential operating elements are not fixed.
