ICS subscription: More filters for absences (i.v.M. ICS subscription)

I would like to create a list (or transfer it from the projects) that does not show all MA. My area is not represented by employee categories, projects or locations, but consists of employees from different categories. Especially when connecting the absence list with my Outlook calendar, it is very annoying to see over 50 names listed and having to search for the 28 or 30 of my area from them. Can't a 5th filter (e.g. “Area” or “Group”), which can be configured by yourself, be set up in addition to the 4 existing ones (employee, employee category, project, location)? That would be great

Hey dear Projo team, I have unfortunately had no feedback on this Canny since July last year. It is still an issue that concerns us. Please provide feedback and a roadmap on this point.

Hey dear Projo team,
We would like to use the integration into our iCal from next January and would like to report this newsletter to colleagues in December.
However, the “activation” or transfer of the absence type to iCal is still missing. What is the state of development there?

Hey Arne, with 15 likes - is the point now big enough to set it to planned?

ICS subscription: hour information in (subscribable) absence calendar

We have integrated the absence calendar into Outlook via subscription. Unfortunately, even if the employee is absent by the hour, it is always shown as absent for the entire day. It would be nice if the length of absence on that day was also shown.

Improve calendar integration: display of absence type in calendar subscription

We've integrated your absence calendar into iCal. Unfortunately, it currently only contains the name followed by “absent” in brackets.
We know that this is absolutely right in terms of data protection, but there is an agreement in the office that the information why you are missing is available for everyone to see.
A colleague is currently carrying this out in parallel at ical, but that is not efficient at all.
Would it be possible, by “activating” the administrators, to allow the type of absence to be displayed not only in Projo but also in iCal, or that each employee could check in their own settings whether the data can be shown or not. That would be of great help to us.
Arne Semmler
It would be conceivable that the setting “show absence type in the personal area”, which is possible per absence, would have an impact on the ICAL subscription when subscribing from the personal area (and also when subscribing from the office area), insofar as the absence type would then be displayed in text there. That would cover your requirements, wouldn't it?

Arne Semmler Yes, that would be great. Because if I can see it in Projo, why shouldn't I also be able to see it in iCal.

Mathias Lange Back then, the focus was actually on our concern that the links could fall into the wrong hands, as not every office has the same policy as yours. We would have the feeling that if the ad was extended in this way, we would also have to allow the subscription to be rejected (i.e. delete the validity of a link). We'd have to build that first...

Arne Semmler Short objection -> The calendar also works (for us) as you described above. For example, HomeOffice is globally visible for us, this is also the case in the ICAL calendar (name (HomeOffice)).
Arne Semmler
Simon Winkler Ok, thanks for the tip. I need to check whether the clients are behaving differently or whether we have already adjusted something!
M
Mathias Lange
Arne Semmler that would be fantastic! We are eagerly awaiting the moment when the entries of absences, including the reason for Projo, can be fully transferred to iCal 🤗
Arne Semmler
Mathias Lange, Simon Winkler: The solution would then be as follows: The subscription link that I “pull” in the office area would contain all the information that I am allowed to see in the office area. The link that I “draw” in the personal area would only contain the information that is approved for the personal area throughout the office. Would that be the right direction?
M
Mathias Lange
Arne Semmler yes that would be the perfect way! I also have a 2 PM round of meetings today, where I am asked the question when will this work? Can you say something about that? So in X days, weeks, or months? Thank you very much!
Arne Semmler
Mathias Lange No, I can't give a time at the moment. If the point is set to “planned” by us, then it usually does not take much longer than 4-8 weeks until implementation, if it is set to “in progress”, it usually takes a maximum of 1-4 weeks until it is also available in the product for you - depending, of course, on how complex this actually is to implement.

Absences of inactive users appear in calendar subscription

If you subscribe to the absence calendar in calendar software via *.ics link, the absences of inactive employees are also displayed after the departure date. This isn't really a bug, but it's a bit confusing.
