Projects/Contracts: Status of projects with multiple contracts
complete
Arne Semmler
The “status” and “active” columns could be merged using the mockup below. It should be possible to set the filter accordingly: active flag AND contains contracts with status1 OR status2 OR status3. Alternatively, we'll leave it in two columns and just adjust the Status column according to the bottom line in the mockup. Drüberhoven displays “Contract status: 2 accepted, 1 paused, 4 acquisitions.”

Completion of a project with uncommissioned offers

We have found that a project cannot be set to “accepted” status if “uncommissioned” offers are still included in the project. In our opinion, however, this should be possible, as the status of the offer is documented that the offer is no longer open.
Thank you very much!

I'll merge this with the aforementioned Canny point https://projo.canny.io/feature-requests/p/projekte-vertrage-status-von-projekten-mit-mehreren-vertragen. I believe we should continue in this direction. Your votes will then go into the Canny point for a new, improved (and automated) project status.

Hi Arne,
interesting solution. I think it's good for contracts that should remain active. Then you can also see parts as completed. However, our example was more about the opposite. We have a contract that has been concluded, but we do not get the status of it because an offer is still included. However, this is definitely not commissioned and is also set to “offer rejected”. I could simply delete the offer now, but I thought that there was a way to set the contract to “accepted” anyway.

What do you think of this implementation in this regard: https://projo.canny.io/feature-requests/p/projekte-vertrage-status-von-projekten-mit-mehreren-vertragen

Hi @ David Lehmann: We need to get this right: The status of offers is not relevant to the status of contracts or projects. This means that you can set a contract to accepted, regardless of whether it contains offers and what status they have. The status of projects depends only on the status of the contracts they contain. We are actually planning to set up the status of projects differently in the future and only decide between active and inactive, because relevant to the question of whether and how something is incorporated into the other functions of projo depends on the status of a contract, not on the overarching project.

Arne Semmler: Hi Arne, sorry I read the other email first. Then it should actually work as we want it to. I'll take a look at our example again.
