Conversion of service recording
M
Müller, Marie
We are currently working on changing the recording of services and are facing some challenges in the existing process:
Duties are recorded as “working absences,” which requires an expected length of absence. This information is important so that colleagues and especially the telephone exchange are informed how long you are expected to be out of the office and therefore unavailable. However, when work is shorter than planned, ambiguities often arise because you are already back in the office. A subsequent correction of the entered duration is time-consuming.
Recording requires two booking steps: First, the registration of the absence and, in addition, the recording of working time on the project. When posting working time, it is not apparent that this is a task, unless this is noted in the invoice comment.
Time pressure often means that assignments are not recorded on time or the registration is completely forgotten.
For us, the process would make the most sense if assignments could be recorded or marked directly when recording working time in the personal area.
Thank you and best regards
